Adult Ensembles

Marian teaches piano and recorder to adults in private lessons on request.

She also runs two adult recorder ensemble classes from her home near Pluckley, in Kent. Groups meet every Monday in term-time. They play  the complete range of recorders (descant, treble, tenor and bass) and from time to time give informal concerts for charity – occasionally in costume!

We are available in large or small groups for local events either as background music or to give recitals ie. Flower Festivals ; Garden parties; Fetes or other  occasions and for school demos and historical events

Highlights have included :

  • providing music for the Tudor dancers at the BBC Restoration Competition final at Hampton Court
  • leading a procession for Chaucer’s Mystery Plays at Dover College
  • playing at Smarden’s Charter Fair throughout the day
  • Christmas Through the Ages  concerts at Smarden, Pluckley, Westwell, Biddenden,  Lympne and Smeeth churches
  • school demo for a historical event -ie. Tudor Day
  • a recital at The Plaisterers Hall, London for a Suzuki Charity event

Monday morning : 9.45am -11 am

Monday evening : 7.45pm – 9 pm
